About me

My passion is the identification and analysis of challenging faults, failures or other kinds of undesired behavior followed by the development of dedicated improvement and/or optimization strategies. In my professional career I used these skills to investigate delay and metastable behavior of digital circuits, to develop analog circuits and to evaluate low level physics simulations. In my private life I improve my skills by repairing any kind of broken equipment (and there is always something that needs fixing).

I am self-motivated, target oriented and precise and do not cut corners until a problem is fully understood and solved. I am a heavy keyboard user, prefer Linux as operating system and like to automate tasks that have to be executed more than once. A full curriculum vitae is available here as well as a full publication list.

Environmental protection is a very important topic to me. For this reason I always search for ways to reduce power consumption and waste on all levels. I spend my spare time with woodworking and as an active part of the local voluntary fire fighters.
